David Diaz, 'Doc Stogie Fresh', President of Stogie Fresh Online Cigar Publications had a thought:

"If I had the opportunity to create my dream custom humidor, what would it be?", Doc said.

"Well", he thought as he took a slow draw off of his fine cigar", "it would have the following options:"

So he called up Eddie DeJong at Vanderburgh Humidors, and had us put together a custom humidor with these strict requirments.

The result was nothing less than fabulous.

Here's what Vanderburgh Humidors came up with for 'The Doc'.

• Solid 3/4" Rare Canadian Tiger Maple Humidor Body
• Solid 1/4" Canadian Black Walnut Humidor Inlay
• Genuine solid 4" x 4" stone decorative top
• Humidor should have room for 165 cigars depending upon your choice of size
• Removable spanish cedar dividers.
• Premium American-Made Brusso solid brass humidor hardware.
• Electronic Hygrometer
• Crystal humidication unit, controlling humidity to 70% RH
• Hand-polished custom blend finish to reveal the character of the wood on the humidor.

The humidors turned out fabulous. The uniqueness of the Canadian Tiger Maple changes from humidor to humidor. Each humidor that has been made so far is different and unique. Some of the custom humidors have tighter stripes with darker stone accents, some other custom humidors have silky white stripes with darker contrasting Black Walnut.

Each custom handcrafted humidor is completely unique, and completely original.

Genuine Canadian Tiger Maple is a very rare wood. Figured wood is only found in about 1% of maple trees. Highly figured wood, like Tiger Maple is found in only 1% of that!

The Tiger Maple on the custom humidor gives a mezmerizing 3D appearance as you look at it in the light. The multi-layer polish penetrates deep into the wood cells to bring out the appearance of the different fibre patterns which give this appearance.

The LE SF-165 custom handcrafted humidor weighs in at nearly 12 lbs. It makes a very solid and sturdy humidor. Thehumidor lid shuts with a soft puff of air which is indicative of a very good seal.

Unique stone inlay imported from India. Some of the stones have crystals in their voids.
