The Classic Man Opens the Door for his Wife

If there's one way to make your wife proud of you, The Classic Man, and that's to open the car door for her.  And I'm not talking about for a few years after you are married.  I'm talking 18 or 25 years of marriage.  Your wife will feel special and honored.  And you will make the evening.

Hug your Daughter Every Day.

Take a moment, even if it is for just a moment... to hug your daughter every day.  This does a lot.  It lets her know that she is important to you.  And it gives her a healthy perception of a loving touch.  It sets a standard.  It gives her the confidence early in her life not to look for unhealthy attention in areas that could sabatoge her important future.

Your daughter may pretend to hate it, but trust me... every daughter wants to know that her dad loves her and will protect her.

Go give her a hug.

The Classic Man is Generous

The Classic Man knows how important it is to be generous with his time and his money.  It has been said that one cannot receive with a closed fist.  That's why a Classic Man often has an open hand.

You have likely heard of the sow and reap principle.  Sow good things and you will receive good things.  Be generous with cigars and you will find that people will send you cigars.  Give a bottle of wine away when you are invited to dinner, and ... you guessed it - you will likely receive a bottle of wine back when you invite visitors.

However there is more to it than expecting returns.  It's good for the heart to give.  It's good to look outside of yourself and to be a part of something bigger than yourself. 

It's good to be generous.  Have an open hand.
