The Leather Story - In Search of Fine Leather - A Journey Through Mexico
In February of 2010, our family went on a Mexican Overland road-trip through the heart of Mexico to a town called Leon. There we visited a leather tannery who supplies fine leather to brands like Tony Lama boots. What we found was the nicest, thickest full grain leather that we have ever seen anywhere. Expensive? Yes. But this leather is the real-deal. All the character on the leather is 100% natural. None of our hides have been pressed with fake prints (like alligator patterns) to add to the appearance. If you're lucky and if it is your style, we can even incorporate a genuine rancher's brand to accent the top for a one of a kind appearance.
