Ancient Kauri has a unique story. At the time of the ice age, massive Kauri trees fell and were buried in swamps and silt. This low oxygen environment preserved the wood from rotting. Today only a few select companies go into fields of New Zealand and use sonar to locate these ancient logs. Once excavated they are sliced, dried and carbon dated.
Ancient Kauri wood has outstanding figure which changes in the light. It takes on the appearance of, swirling Cognac. We accented the Kauri with solid African Ebony pegs.
INTERIOR
Inside, the humidor is finished with passive humidification, high quality digital hygrometer and beautiful and aromatic Spanish Cedar lining.
FLOOR
